Fishtown; We still a few hand-made t-shirts.

John Kolar and I just ventured to Philly to record a new song with Quentin Stolzfus (Mazarin) and Brian McTear (producer for Danielson, Matt Pond PA, etc). I like the song. It's called "Fishtown." It's gonna be up on the internet pretty soon. It was a grant from a new Philly based non-profit called Weathervane Music. They pick a few artists a year and bring them in to record with nice equipment and a sympathetic producer. There was a 5 person film crew documenting the proceedings.

Look at their website here --> http://weathervanemusic.org/ and give them a donation cuz they're doing good things.

Here's a photo they took:

On a side note, we're playing with the Meat Puppets in Chicago.

news you can use

Longtime Philly producer Brian McTear has started a non-profit organization called Weathervane music. Every year they award two grants to artists, and we are the recipients of their first grant. We will be heading up to Philly to record with Brian and Quentin Stolzfus, my old friend from Mazarin. You can read more about Weathervane here.

We are gearing up for an epic summer tour, with stops planned thus far in Dallas, Athens, NYC, Louisville, Minneapolis, Missoula, Seattle, Portland, the bay area, and Los Angeles. If you would like for us to come to your town and could help arrange a show, please contact us at: blondebill@gmail.com

We have some fantastic shows in Austin coming up. One I am particularly excited about: The River Revolution Party II. It is being held on Saturday, May 2nd on the banks of the Colorado River, just east of Austin. It's actually held on the property of Maryanne Price, onetime singer with The Kinks. There will be free drinks and camping on the river! Yes, free drinks. It's free to get in, but they charge $12 per vehicle to park. So just squeeze all your friends together. Or if you ride your bike it's free. This show is highly recommended. Visit http://www.riverrevolutionparty.com/ for more details, including a map and directions.

We are playing a quieter show at the Cactus Cafe on May 5th. And our tour kick-off party will be May 21st at Baby Blue (our studio). Another raging studio party. Line-up and details soon, but rest assured it will be awesome.

We have a new exclusive track for download over at RCRD LBL. It's a cover of Townes Van Zandt's "Columbine." They have very nice things to say about the group. In case you missed their previous post, here it is.
